| Q: | Just watched Love Is A Many Splendored Thing for the first time: great title song; horribly dated movie. Anyway, I noticed one fragment of melody in the score (not part of the title song) clearly borrowed from classical music, but I can't place the source. The melody starts with a repeating descending half-step, (minor chord), followed immediately by a repeating descending whole-step (major chord). Anybody got any ideas?
