Q: What is the title and artist for the song played at the end of the film when everyone gathers for Andy's funeral?  (from Lori  in England )

A: The music is "Philadelphia" and is played and sung by Neil Young. The version heard in the film, which is actually the second arrangement, is much more melancholy. The first arrangement, which Jonathan was originally going to include in the film, is the original version of the melody. Jonathan thought it was "too light emotionally" for a film with a dark ending. He felt that Neil's original melody was "too Pretty", "Too Cheery", "Too romantic". So, John asked Neil to darken the melody a bit, changing just a chord here and a note there. Jonathan had Neil bring the script home with him, and asked him to base the changes to his melody on the ending of the film. Neil flew home to Canada and did just that, and that's how the melody for the version heard in the film came to be. (thanks to Annabelle , Eugene, Oregon add more info

Q: I'm looking for a 44KHZ, 16Bit, Stereo, 128KBPS MP3 of Neil Young's song, "Philadelphia". as well as a 44KHZ, 16Bit, Stereo, 128KBPS MP3 of Bruce Springsteen's song, "Streets Of Philadelphia". I know they're both available on the soundtrack CD, but I only want those specific songs. I'm actually looking for the full length recordings of both those songs, which are the versions found on the soundtrack. Where do I turn to find them?  (from Annabelle  in Eugene, Oregon )
A: The CD is $7 brand new or there's a $4 used one if you click the "Buy the Philadelphia soundtrack CD" link higher up on this page. It doesn't get any cheaper... so cheap you can toss the CD out after you rip the songs you want and you won't lose any sleep over it. (thanks to OST.NUT add more info
