Soundtrack Q & A
Q: Another bit of harrumphing on my part; where's Saraghina's dance on this soundtrack? Surely it's a key theme, important enough to warrant a place at the captain's table; the DVD menu's only music. Yes, I could listen to it on its loop with the DVD menu but I'm not going to buy a generator and affix our widescreen telly and XBox to a trolley and wheel them down the stairs of our flat, up the street, onto the bus, up the stairs on the bus etc and all the way to work in the morning am I? Well, I suppose I could. No! I would like a decent recording of it, and not be forced to record it off the telly with my archaic recording equipment. Let me point out that this is illegal and I haven't done this, in fact. Come on Nino, legalise it. Make it completely legitimate, Don Rota. Great theme, clarinets bursting my eardrums, wobble-ly-recorded guitar, tinny wee drum-roll. I love this track, and Saraghina's mental, there should be more rolling of the eyes in society. Bob bob / Bob-bob bob-bob bob-bob bob-bob bob-bob! Blobby. Blah blah. Yabbas Blub-Blub. Don't you agree?

Q: What is the tune Mastroianni sings in the movie? Is the only piece of music that does not belong to Nino Rota.
