Star Simon Pegg is a big fan of The Fratellis and got them to cover "Solid Gold Easy Action" for the soundtrack, as well as allow another song they had already recorded to appear ("Baby Fratelli"). The Fratellis also contributed a song ("Chelsea Dagger") to Pegg's next film, Run, Fat Boy, Run.
